We are excited to announce that with the help of our donors and sponsors, we have taken our first steps from humanitarian aid for temporary relief to sustainable projects that will provide clean water for decades to come!

Starting off with the largest project of the trip, WIN funded a 35ft by 12ft by 3ft sedimentation tank that will be serving over 250 households, 1250 people of the Patlychaap village community in Godawari. This tank is usable all year round, lasts over 80-100 years, and effectively filters the water sourced from a nearby pond at a rate capable of supplying the entire Patlychaap community with their daily drinking needs. The village has already spent weeks constructing the skeleton of the tank, laying the cement foundation, and they are now already making progress on its internal structure. With the unfaltering support and dedication of the community’s chair member, Harisaran, the skill of the main technicians of the village, Binod and Rambhakt Sylwal, and the hard work of the Patylchaap members hiking up and down the steep paths of the hill to transport materials for the tank, we are confident that the completion of this tank will occur in just a few more weeks.
