Project Description: The Gita Maata Secondary School has 1 well that is not nearly enough to meet their students and staff's drinking water needs. Every month, they pay a heavy fee of over US $250 to import water tanks instead. Now with a rainwater harvesting collection system, this project alone can save them US $1000 per year which they can invest into improving the school's quality of education. WIN has funded 380 ft. of gutters to be installed on their roof, high-quality pipes for easy access to rainwater throughout the school, and a 5,000L storage tank to store surplus rainwater.
