Status: Complete

Project Description: Parents and children live in temporary shacks as they work every day during the dry months to make thousands of bricks. Without enough resources to buy filters to clean the drinking water that they gather from a nearby well, With the help of both Berkey® by NMCL and our donors, WIN provided them with 10 Black Berkey® Purification Elements and 15 local ceramic filters. Each Black Berkey® Purification Element filters bacteria and viruses without the need for boiling. The lifespan for each purification element is 3,000 gallons while the local ceramic filters can last for an average of 5 years.

Number of Beneficiaries: 100

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
