Balambu Lower Secondary School
Updated: Saturday, March 21, 2020

Status: Complete

Project Description: This school lacks the capacity to properly direct and store their water for both drinking and cleaning their toilets. The 2015 earthquake also left the school with one 1,000L tank, not enough to store drinking water or flushing and cleaning both boys and girls toilets. Therefore, WIN agreed to fund the installation of a more intricate routing system for Balambu to efficiently store and direct water to either sanitation (which includes toilet cleaning/flushing) at night or filtration for drinking water during the day. The parts of this project include a 1,000L storage tank, pipes, and switches.

Number of Beneficiaries: 430 students/staff

Location: Chandragiri, Nepal
